Micah Redmond: Sandblasted Cherry Tomato with Bakelite Tobacco Pipe

Even if I had not already known, I would've strongly suspected this pipe to be the work of Micah Redmond. With its delightfully handy size, plump, squashed sense of roundness, and sweeping, forward-inclined look in profile, this Cherry Tomato is perfectly in keeping with the carver's penchant for forms that teeter between meaty substance and compact form. And as for the finish, Micah opted for a warm tanblast, serving to accentuate a broad display of ultra-tight ring-grain all around, paired to a stem of milk chocolate-colored bakelite, and complemented by an accent ring of same, only in electric pink. I like it.
