Micah Redmond: Smooth Bent Apple Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-774-0066
American pipe artisan Micah Redmond is known to produce intricately designed pieces showcased in compact and stout proportions. When he's not crafting his own artisan pieces, he works alongside Pete Prevost and Bill Shalosky for the Briarworks team in Columbia, Tennessee. This bent Apple is a classic example of Redmond's style, displaying a keen attention to detail and several of the craftsman's shaping cues. A true Nosewarmer, this pipe measures at just over four inches in length, and subsequently holds a rather small tobacco chamber, making this an ideal piece for short and satisfying smoking sessions. Its lightweight stature also makes this a pipe you could easily take on the go or as a handy travel companion. Shape-wise, this piece is fairly traditional, with its plump bowl urging forward slightly as its walls rise and taper toward the rim. Said bowl is married to an abbreviated, rounded shank that quickly connects to the equally sturdy shoulders of a bent vulcanite saddle stem. The inky pigment of the mouthpiece pairs well with the darkly-stained, smooth stummel where rich flicks of flame grain can be seen surrounding the bowl.
