Micah Redmond: Partially Sandblasted Freehand Bent Dublin with Spalted Maple Burl and Bakelite Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-774-0071

Micah Redmond is an American pipe artisan known for his collaborative work with Pete Prevost and Bill Shalosky at Briarworks in Columbia, Tennessee. He also makes a wide variety of his own pipes, including this Freehand bent Dublin. As unique as its title would infer, this lengthy pipe puts a whimsical twist on the timeless silhouette. Rising from a lifted heel informed by a singular ridgeline, the walls of the bowl rise toward an asymmetrical teardrop-shaped rim. Said ridgeline extends from the rim all the way through the left underside of the stummel, forming a shank face that mirrors the rim. The face is adorned with an accent of spalted maple burl as it gives way to a saddle stem cut from swirling bakelite. The creamy hues of the mouthpiece juxtapose the dark stummel, sandblasted throughout the shank and bowl and finished smooth along the rim, highlighting impeccable birdseye.
