Michael Parks: Smooth Asymmetrical Bent Brandy (VI.14)
Product Number: 002-473-0059
We've only seen two Brandies from Michael Parks before, and only two Volcanoes: I mention this because here we find a shape one could interpret as either, yet is very different than all our previous examples of both by Parks. Smoothly compact and sporting an asymmetrical roll to the underside, it's as much a departure from his classically inspired Brandies as it is from the massive, paneled Volcano, and the tall, slender Volcano-Pickaxe hybrid we've handled previously. The extra-dark contrast finish is a deft touch, complementing both the tight-knit, yet sleek nature of the shape, and the exceptionally dense flame grain and birdseye of what is, clearly, one very choice piece of briar.
