Michael Parks certainly has a skilled hand when it comes to delicate, trimmer, shapes. This is partially due to his focus on details that emphasize a strong sense of delicacy and elegance, such as the sandblast executed here. Row after row of ring grain radiates outward from an origin point just to the right of the heel, and dressed in a dark, dark shade of deep ruby, pockets of color peak out from the sea of shadowy texture. Adorned with a horn accent of light tan fading into umber, the resulting composition is crisp and rich in organic dynamism.
