Michael Parks: Sandblasted Paneled Liverpool (V.16) (Grand) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-473-0070
It may not be one of his Magnum grades, but make no mistake: this is one very large take on the classic Foursquare shape from Michael Parks. The panels along all four faces are neat and symmetrical, with just a touch of cheeking where the bowl widens slightly after the transition. The square shank is likewise very crisp and well defined, and evenly balanced with the rather stout and towering form of the bowl itself. Topping it all off, Michael chose an abbreviated, tapered bit of cumberland for the mouthpiece, lending the composition a neat Liverpool or Canadian feel. This hefty piece is finished in a warm, dark chestnut sandblast — bringing out a lot of texture and grain, while keeping those aforementioned lines clean and well-preserved.
