Mike Sebastian Bay: Smooth Dublin with Mastodon Tooth Tobacco Pipe

A whimsical little number from Mike Bay, this straight Dublin displays a subtle forward cant to its flared bowl and has been carved in rather diminutive proportions, just under five inches in length. The slender shank and saddle-stem lend some extra visual weight to the bowl, giving it some well deserved prominence that shows off the warm, flame grain enriched contrast stain covering its surface. The gently inflated rim adds a thoroughly Danish touch to the piece, and it's accented by a band of mastodon tooth, whose marbled texture displays gorgeous hues of sky blue and stone grey.
