Mike Sebastian Bay: Rusticated Bent Brandy Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-820-0081
One of Denmark's premier young carvers, Mike Sebastian Bay has quickly made a name for himself in the pipe-making world and displays a real talent for fashioning Danish classics. As a former apprentice of Tom Eltang, Bay understands what makes a pipe both beautiful and functional, and his work showcases this fact with its sophisticated engineering and stylish finishing work.
This bent Brandy is a supple and curvaceous bit of craftsmanship from the young Dane. It features a plump, softly rounded bowl that tapers from its wide heel to its tauter rim. The bowl stands proudly at the fore of an upturned shank and a cumberland saddle stem, the latter of which is demurely curved for a comfortable smoking posture. The entire shape measures less than five inches in total length, making it perfect for on-the-go smoking, and it appropriately boasts a lightweight in-hand presence. It's all finished in a ruby-hued rustication that provides plenty of crisp texture for the fingers to explore, save for the rim, which is left smooth for a touch of contrast.
