Mike Sebastian Bay: Partially Rusticated Billiard with Masur Birch Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-820-0099

Among the foremost Danish artisans to begin carving pipes in recent decades, Mike Sebastian Bay cultivates a style that draws much from his time apprenticing with Tom Eltang, imbuing those techniques with Bay's own creative flourishes. This Billiard is an excellent example of Bay's style, pairing a smooth, traditional bowl to a rusticated spiral-carved shank in complementary black and auburn hues. The conjunction is adorned with a masur birch ferrule, fitted with a hand-cut vulcanite saddle stem for easy clenching. The auburn-stained stummel boasts excellent flame grain around the bowl, making a fine contrast with the dark rustication that drifts from the shank up into the heel.
