Mike Sebastian Bay: Partially Rusticated Tomato Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-820-0190
While Mike Sebastian Bay may not have intended to enter the pipe world when he sought out to find someone to repair his father's pipe, he's now known as an incredible artisan himself. Trained by his friend and pipe icon, Tom Eltang, Bay now produces stunning pieces, mostly inspired by Danish traditionalism, as evidenced by this Tomato. Measuring just over five inches long, this pipe approaches Nosewarmer territory, making it an ideal option for travel and on-the-go smoking. The bowl is plump, its walls rising from a subtly lifted heel toward a rim that looks into a compact tobacco chamber. Cheeking around the transition gives way to a rounded shank that flares toward the shoulders of a vulcanite saddle stem that completes the pipe's bend toward the bit. The cumberland hues of the mouthpiece pair well to the stummel, which is rusticated along the bowl and finished smooth across the shank.
