Mike Sebastian Bay: Smooth Dublin with Horn Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-820-0196

Mike Sebastian Bay is known for his functional and aesthetically rich design sensibility, which often prioritizes slender, lightweight compositions and clean, legible lines. Such is the case with this Dublin, a lean, elegant design with a comfortable in-hand presence and sleek, minimalist silhouette. At the fore, a tall bowl stands atop a firm, conservative heel and grows trim walls that flare to a broad, softly inflated rim. As it expands, the bowl takes on a subtle forward cant, its slightly ebbing posturing standing out in stark relief against the rest of the shape's arrow-straight lines. A wide transition offers ample space to drape a digit and marks the start of a trim shank that joins a slender tapered stem at a junction accented with black- and cream-hued horn. The flared accent mirrors the build of the bowl and punctuates the stummel, distinguishing the briar from the vulcanite stem. A warm smooth finish completes the ensemble and highlights a gorgeous display of grain throughout the stummel, with tight constellations of bridseye covering the bowl's flanks.
