Mike Sebastian Bay: Rusticated Bent Apple Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-820-0210
Mike Sebastian seems to have stumbled into the pipe making world by chance after searching for someone to repair his father's old pipe. Coincidentally, he ended up befriending Tom Eltang, who soon took Sebastian under his wing. Eltang's influences are apparent in many of Sebastian's pipes, including in the rustication seen on this bent Apple, which provides ample texture for the fingers to enjoy. Shape-wise, this bent Apple is a sweeping rendition of the classic silhouette, with much of the momentum carried to the fore of the pipe. The walls of the plump bowl subtly flare to a soft waistline before tapering back inward to the rim. Nestled within the bowl is a respectable tobacco chamber, making this pipe an ideal option for those seeking short and satisfying smoking sessions. Out back, an oval-shaped shank-and-stem combination slenderizes to the button, completing the bend of the aft. The inky mouthpiece complements the aforementioned rusticated finish along the stummel, which is dressed in a rich red-hued stain.
