Dennis Moller Pipes
Dennis Moller Nielsen is part of an emerging group of pipe makers to come out of Denmark. Inspired by the work of the Danish greats, he began to make pipes with his brother, Henri Sorensen, with whom he continues to work today. Among many others, Moller has been deeply influenced by the work of Poul Ilsted and Tom Eltang — having even spent time in Tom Eltang's workshop. Today he lives and works on the island of Funen (Danish: Fyn).
Stylistically, Dennis fashions charming variations on Danish classics, often playing with muscular proportions and a tight-knit sense of geometry. His finishes range from dark, stimulating rustications to lovely, warm contrast stains, utilizing natural accents like warm maple and creamy horn to organically complement the overall composition.
