A gorgeous example of the Italian neo-classical take on the straight Billiard/Liverpool shape, this piece from Musico places the majority of the visual weight on the stout-walled bowl, followed up by a comparatively trim and slender shank and stem configuration. The real gem, of course, is the grain: a beautiful mix of birdseye, crossgrain, and windswept flame all symmetrically balanced from flank to flank, and highlighted through a warm, light blonde contrast stain.
