While relatively abbreviated in terms of length, just under five inches from end to end, this piece still maintains a palatable muscularity to its construction, especially along the heavy-set bowl, which features the form's characteristic domed rim and wrapping ridgeline. The shank-and-stem arrangement is quite sinuously bent, striking a strong S-curve out back that adds a handsome fluidity to the composition and promotes a comfortable smoking posture. Dressed in an inky sandblast and accented with a band of silver, this piece is bold, handsome, and undoubtedly charming.
