Musico most often presents us with pipes of a more classical style than would be expected from an Italian workshop, though this piece certainly leans toward a more neoclassical inspiration. The shank and stem here comprise a consistent taper from the wide transition, evocative of works by Castello, with the latter making a demure downturn at the bit to offer a touch of elegance. The bowl perched on the end of this combination is comparatively large, sweeping upright from a rounded heel and building some impressive chamber walls, additionally providing a wonderful canvas for the auburn stain that dresses the briar.
