Soft and supple, this Acorn from Musico features a pert, upright bowl that flares from a comparatively narrow heel to a broad, slightly inflated rim. Thanks to the understated presence of the oval shank and slender saddle stem, the bowl holds most of the visual weight within the composition. The overall form is lightweight and comfortable in hand, and the bowl is nicely contoured to accommodate wrapping fingers. A walnut-hued smooth finish dresses the stummel and accentuates the natural grain orientation of the briar, while an accent of horn along the shank end provides a touch of warmth to the pipe's palette.
