Musico: Smooth Bent Dublin with Boxwood (Set Special) Tobacco Pipe

The overall aesthetic of this piece is one that the Musico workshop returns to fairly often — the slightly bent stem, bamboo shank extension, and slender, upright bowl. In this example's case, said bowl is a striking Dublin, its flaring profile catching the eye in silhouette and holding it, its undulating rim creating a nice focal point. Stunning diagonal cross grain flows through the left flank of the bowl, with the warm stain of the stummel revealing handsome grain all around, making it hard to determine if the finish or the boxwood mount is my favorite aspect. Thankfully, I don't have to decide because this piece boasts both.
