Musico: Sandblasted Pot with Silver (Floodlight) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-008-0870
The story of the Musico workshop began with Giorgio Musico, who frequently bought pipes from Italian pipe maker Fritz Becker. Their sons, Massimo Musico and Paolo Becker, would go on to found the Becker & Musico workshop, which primarily crafted classic pipe shapes. Eventually, the two went their separate ways, with Massimo Musico continuing to pursue a traditional aesthetic. This Pot by Musico boasts a broad, squat bowl that stands at the fore of a trim, arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement. Said bowl possesses a subtly flared frame, consisting of thick, insulating walls that rise from a firm heel to a broad, flat rim. The shank-and-stem arrangement provides balance to the form and keeps the overall composition looking sleek and streamlined in profile. A dark sandblast dresses the ensemble and highlights healthy grain across the briar's surface, while a sterling silver band accents the junction and ties the entire shape together with a dose of flash.
