Musico: Smooth Billiard with Silver (Set Special) Tobacco Pipe

The story of the Musico workshop began with Giorgio Musico, who frequently bought pipes from Italian pipe maker Fritz Becker. Their sons, Massimo Musico and Paolo Becker, would go on to found the Becker & Musico workshop, which primarily crafted classic pipe shapes. Eventually, the two went their separate ways, with Massimo Musico continuing to pursue a traditional aesthetic. Though rather compact, measuring less than five inches long, this Billiard by Musico is a rather muscular interpretation of the classic form, with the cylindrical bowl heading the fore boasting thick, insulating walls that fill out the hand. The extra mass afforded to the bowl lends the totality of the shape an Italian neoclassical silhouette, with the fore overshadowing the comparatively slender aft side. Said aft consists of a sturdy shank that joins a slender tapered stem at a junction marked by a silver accent. This accent lends a touch of flash to the pipe's otherwise dark, smoky palette.
