About This Pipe
Paolo Becker and Massimo Musico crafted Becker & Musico pipes together, with Paolo on the lathe and Massimo focusing on mouthpieces and bands, until 2002 when Paolo turned to crafting pipes under his own name. Today, Massimo continues to make pipes under the Foundation brand, with a particular focus on slight deviations from typical Anglo-French shapes.
This Floodlight-graded Acorn from Musico features a well-rounded heel for its titular shape and a softly sandblasted finish that emphasizes the alternating flame grain and birdseye of the bowl. The walls are proportional but not muscular, giving the pipe a low weight of just 0.072 pounds that allows it to hang easily from the jaw. A wide silver accent caps the stummel in style before yielding to the lightly bent saddle stem.
