Sandblasted Bent Billiard with Silver (Floodlight) Tobacco Pipe

Paolo Becker and Massimo Musico crafted Becker & Musico pipes together, with Paolo on the lathe and Massimo focusing on mouthpieces and bands, until 2002 when Paolo turned to crafting pipes under his own name. Today, Massimo continues to make pipes under the Foundation brand, with a particular focus on slight deviations from typical Anglo-French shapes.

True to form, this Floodlight-graded offering from Musico features a long, tapered stem that is only minutely bent, giving it a silhouette that is markedly different from that of a typical bent Billiard. This pipe packs quite a bit into its slight 0.084 pounds, with strong walls and a shank just long enough to make room for a nestling finger or thumb before being capped by a well-crafted silver accent. The bowl, stained dark but sandblasted to emphasize the ring grain beneath, takes on a slight forward cant to add to Musico's variation on the classic Anglo-French form.
