Sandblasted Billiard (Floodlight) Tobacco Pipe

Paolo Becker and Massimo Musico crafted Becker & Musico pipes together, with Paolo on the lathe and Massimo focusing on mouthpieces and bands, until 2002 when Paolo turned to crafting pipes under his own name. Today, Massimo continues to make pipes under the Foundation brand, with a particular focus on slight deviations from typical Anglo-French shapes.

At a very slight 0.061 pounds, this Floodlight-graded Billiard from Musico still manages to pack in strong walls to a bowl finished with an attractive dark sandblast that allows for the alternating cross grain and birdseye to be admired by the hand. The fluid lines of the stem and the straightforward lines of the stummel contrast well to give this pipe the neoclassic feel that Italian marques are well known for. The stem is mounted in the military style, allowing it to taper heavily from the mount to the bit.
