Neerup: Basic Smooth Freehand (2)
Product Number: 002-203-5250
Peder Jeppesen's shaping style tends to favor more rounded, softly contoured designs, marrying stout Italian neoclassical proportions with smooth Danish lines. Every now and then, however, we'll see something more geometrical or architectural from him — something like this bent Acorn-like Freehand for example. Sure, there are plenty of soft curves, yet there's also a definitive asymmetry and a firmer sense of ridgeline wrapping the bowl. The finish is classic Jeppesen, however: a bold and vibrant contrast stain mixed with a touch of plateau at the shank end and paired to a vibrant acrylic stem.- Andrew Wike
