If the shank looks thin in the photo, it's an optical illusion. While not particularly large in diameter, the shank is of average size, but when contrasted with the extraordinarily large bowl of this Stack from Peder Jeppesen, it appears small. The chamber is impressively deep, housing over two-and-a-half inches of depth inside the towering bowl. The rim of the Egg-like bowl undulates with plateau, a subtle, yet effective shaping cue that further contributes to its striking silhouette. A vivid contrast stain highlights the briar's beautiful grain, while the accent band along the shank end offers even more visual interest.
