Peder Jeppesen's Handmade Ida Easy Cut series primarily consists of designs that don't adhere to Neerup's standard lines. Each piece is handmade from start to finish by Peder and his son Christian and represent more individualized styles. One such piece is presented here, taking the form of a robust, broad-bowled Pot with a subtle cinch to its waistline. There's some extra mass lent to the heel, continuing the bowl's muscularity before giving way to the gracefully arcing shank-and-stem combination. The glossy, walnut contrast stain and well-grained hardwood accent along the shank work in tandem to give the piece a warm, inviting palette while the jet-black acrylic stem keeps things traditional.
