Neerup: P. Jeppesen Handmade Sandblasted Freehand
Product Number: 002-203-7108
As part of the Ida Easy Cut line, this massive Freehand was made completely by hand and is a bold representation of Peder Jeppesen's muscular, gestural shaping style. This is a commanding piece, the hefty bowl canted forward to bring the overall length to eight inches, and its double-handful of briar offering a comforting presence in hand. The capacious bowl flares roundly from a structured heel, highlighting tight stacks of growth rings climbing toward the plateau-infused rim, while a panel materializes at the heel and sweeps up the shank to create a gestural four-sided upward arc. Plateau at the shank end mirrors the rim, and smoldering contrast stain unifies with one of Jeppesen's signature colorful acrylic stems for an unforgettable aesthetic.- Joel Balyeat
