Plump, broad, and softly rounded, this Apple from Peder Jeppesen belongs to the Danish carver's Handmade Ida Easy Cut series, a line of pipes that are fashioned, as the name suggests, entirely from hand. This piece features a voluptuous bowl paired to a gently upturned shank that provides an elegant curvature to the overall design, with a saddle stem of cream and coffe-hued acrylic making a steep downturn for a comfortable smoking posture. A handsome hardwood accent at the shank end provides some contrasting grain patterns that stand out well against the gorgeous contrast stain that dresses the stummel. The stummel showcases plenty of handsome flame grain across the flanks of the bowl and luscious birdseye across the undulating rim.
