Part of Peder Jeppesen's Handmade line, a series of pipes that are, appropriately, fashioned and finished completely by hand, this bent Apple showcases the Danish carver's penchant for compact designs with bowl-centric proportions. Though measuring less than five inches from end to end, the bowl offers a substantial in-hand presence and houses a respectable chamber capacity within its thick insulating walls. The heel of the bowl slopes toward the aft side and comes to a sharply defined protrusion just below the transition, adding a touch of angularity to the otherwise supple design. It's all finished in one of Jeppesen's handsome, contrast-stained smooth finishes, highlighting fine strands of flame grain about the bowl.
