A tall, muscular Pickaxe from Neerup, this piece features the high waist and pointy heel of the classic form, writ large. The rim is crowned in plateau as is the shank end, with one of Peder Jeppesen's striking, multi-colored, acrylic stems topping things off in back. As part of the Basic line, the pipe is free of accents, allowing the shaping and finish to maintain the focal points. Here, it's dressed in a bright contrast stain, highlighting the orientation of the briar's grain.
