Neerup: P. Jeppesen Boutique Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Silver (3) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-203-8827
After studying under such names as Karl Erik and Erik Nørding, Peder Jeppesen gained a wealth of knowledge about the pipe making craft. As the designer of Neerup pipes, Peder continues to apply this experience with the assistance of his son Christian. Among Neerup's offerings is their Boutique series, presenting the workshop's signature shaping and handmade craftsmanship with a line of silver accoutrements, as seen here. This bent Dublin from Neerup displays the workshop's penchant for strapping proportions, the bowl's palm-filling figure exuding a Pot-like disposition with its squat stature. The bowl is formed by thick, insulating walls flaring broadly from the sweeping, upturned heel toward the subtly inflated rim. A muscular shank curls upward from the bowl's transition, starting out with broad, more oval shape and rounding out as it reaches the shank end. Adorning the shank end is a vibrant acrylic band, set beneath an intricately engraved silver accent that meets an abbreviated, arcing saddle stem. Dressed in the Jeppesen's distinct contrast finish, the stummel is enveloped in a warm, crisp sandblast that reveals fine growth rings wrapping around the bowl.
