Pete Prevost: Smooth Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-532-0029
Balancing firm, architectural lines with a more organic approach to the rim and taper of the bowl, this bent Dublin from Pete Prevost is just a wonderful example of his unique, American Industrial approach to pipe design. The broad, paneled nature of the shank, the explosion of the flare into a craggy plateau crown, the lifting heel, the lean transition, the larger than average stem base... Pete combines all these elements, though quite unique and different individually, in such a harmonious way to create a cohesive, beautiful composition. This example is finished in a vibrant ruby-tinged contrast stain, giving even more warmth to the wild strands of flame that ride across the flanks, as well as the fore and aft of the bowl.
