Pete Prevost: Partially Sandblasted Volcano Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-532-0031
I can't recall, at this moment, ever seeing a pipe titled a "chubby Volcano". This makes sense given that the upward-tapered nature of the Volcano shape doesn't make it an easy one to even imagine what a "chubby" rendition would look like. Well I think it would look like this.
Pete Prevost did not call this a chubby Volcano, mind you, but I will. It is (very) compact certainly, but that alone is not what pushes it into chubby territory for me. What really drives things home is that shank and stem-base, which together make for a form that is, decidedly, plump, while further neatly playing as a pairing to the unusually full roundness (for a Volcano) of the bowl's underside.
