Pete Prevost: Sandblasted Stubdog Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-532-0042

Measuring just over four inches from end to end, yet packing in a surprising amount of briar into its abbreviated length, this Stubdog is quite a charming little nosewarmer from Pete Prevost. Pete actually drew up this shape during Shane Ireland's last visit to his workshop in Nashville, and this is the first iteration of that prototype. It's sort of a continuation of the short, chubby style Pete's been experimenting with lately, and certainly one that'll capture the attention of Prevost's fans. Despite its compact, condensed proportions, it's actually quite dynamic, the shank and stem even following a subtle S-curve in profile. The extra dark, near jet-black sandblast it wears really complements that fine shaping, bringing out a good bit of ring grain and blasted birdseye without compromising the form's defining lines. What a neat piece!
