Pete Prevost: Sandblasted Mini Bent Brandy with Horn Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-532-0044
Continuing with his theme of short, chubby designs, this bent Brandy from Pete Prevost is quite a condensed version of the classic shape, coming in just over three and a half inches from end to end, and weighing just 25.4g overall. While those nosewarmer proportions might be enough to capture the attention of some collectors, it's important to note that this abbreviated fellow was actually inspired by a Jess Chonowitsch design. In fact, the design was informed by a compact, horn-mounted Brandy from Shane Ireland's personal collection, which he took with him to Nashville during his recent visit. Though certainly firmly grounded in Prevost's own style, you can see that influence clearly in the smooth, easy shaping of the bowl, as well as how Pete's handled the horn mount itself. A beautiful little nosewarmer in a style which I, for one, hope we see much more of from Prevost in the future.
