Pete Prevost: Sandblasted Bent Pot with Horn Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-532-0055
This bent Pot design is a sort of combination between two previous pipes we've received from Pete Prevost — a Pot and a bent Brandy — both with the same subtly contrast-stained tanblast and horn mount. All three are compact, nosewarmer renditions, and this bent Pot is the shortest at under four inches in total length. That said, as is often the case with Pete's short pipes, this piece still boasts a good deal of muscular substance through its thick-walled, squat bowl and stout shank. Such muscularity, though, is balanced out by the stummel's soft lines — from the lifted heel to the rounded taper of the shank's mount — and the ever-so-subtle S-curve. Diminutive and charming, the design is attractive and convenient, easily recognizable as Prevost's work with its American-style blend of soft and elegant Danish shaping cues with more robust proportions. And, the color palette is equally appealing, as the creamy tones of the horn mount beautifully complements the lighter stain of the stummel.
