Peterson: Pipe of the Year 2013 Rusticated Fishtail
Product Number: 002-029-19705
When the Pipe of the Year surfaces, usually Peterson introduces us to a new shape, sometimes designed from scratch, sometimes partially based on a pre-existing classic. The 2013 edition is probably most closely related to the "B11", with an almost identical taper, but a much rounder, fuller bowl, as opposed to a jutting heel. That being said, the chamber is well-suited for a hefty portion of your finest, and its added girth naturally fills out in hand with the added charm and sensation of finely carved rustication. And if a beam of light happens to hit the sterling silver band, catching your eye in between a smooth draw, take a moment and admire the engraved portrait of the master craftsman, who started it all, Charles Peterson.
