Peterson: Kinsale Rusticated (XL17) P-Lip Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-029-19906

Beautiful as they were, the pipes Peterson introduced in 1987 as part of their "Sherlock Holmes" series were not inexpensive. Fortunately, Peterson has made available to the rest of us many of the captivating designs featured in that series as part of their Kinsale line. The pipe before you, the "XL17" first corresponded to Arthur Conan Doyle's character Dr. Watson, Sherlock's friend, assistant, flatmate, and biographer. With its quick slope and flat-bottom, this Oom-Paul looking, over-sized Rhodesian is really rather fetching. And because I'm a big fan of the way Peterson has this entire line rusticated and stained in bookcase maroon, I'd say to make this pipe part of your permanent collection is a logical choice. Nay, an elementary one.
