Peterson: Pipe of the Year 2017 (387/500) Smooth Fishtail Tobacco Pipe

A stout, canted Apple shape, 2017's Peterson Pipe of the Year calls to mind the look of the very popular, namesake briar smoked by "Devil Anse" Hatfield in the miniseries Hatfields & McCoys. It's actually one which has ties to the marque as far back as 1906, with this iteration hewing very close to that archetypal piece. There's perhaps a touch more briar in the chamber walls, along with a bit of added muscularity to the shank. Paired to that is a hearty sterling silver band and arrow-straight saddle-stem for a bit of modernist flash.
