Peterson: Gold Supreme Sandblasted (120) Fishtail (3/10) with Presentation Box Tobacco Pipe

With only one in 2000 stummels making the cut, Peterson's Supreme grade pipes are, without question, the Irish firm's most prestigious offering. Commemorating the reintroduction of this esteemed series to the marque's lineup, Peterson opted to adorn the first ten Supremes with their own special gold bands and stellar, handcrafted presentation boxes, handmade by Claudio Albieri.

Found here in the Supreme's gorgeous sandblasted iteration, the marque's "120" Dublin shape exudes a classical sense of charm, combined with a fairly jaunty presence in profile. As for the finish itself, it's an understated treatment, coaxing out of an undeniably tight spread of ring-grain climbing up all flanks, dressed in an affably warm stain. Needless to say, this is a must for the Peterson collector.
