Peterson: Natural Spigot (D15) Fishtail
Product Number: 002-029-43559
Anytime a Natural finished Peterson happens along, I know to pay attention because they're always spectacular examples of fine smoking instruments with historical significance, and, to my eye, they have the most beautiful finish and captivating grain patterns that Peterson offers, as may be recognizable with this upright Dublin "D15." More often seen in a Churchwarden configuration, this piece has been scaled to average length for a relatively small pipe, but that small form provides grain enough for five larger pipes. Those who appreciate birdseye may rejoice, because the flanks of this piece display full sides of it, all the way up to the rim. A sterling silver spigot mount joins the stem and shank and provides immediate break down when necessary. Practical for efficient tobacco combustion and resplendently exquisite of form and grain, this Peterson commends itself beyond its peers.- Chuck Stanion
