Peterson: House Pipe Rusticated Silver Cap Bent P-Lip
Product Number: 002-029-55464
Since 1896, Peterson has featured House Pipes in their portfolio. The first iterations were designated by an "O" stamp for "oversized" and presented three shapes, "O1," "O2," and "O3." Over time, however, those shapes were discontinued, replaced by the House Pipe series. Defined by only two shapes — a straight and a bent Billiard — the House Pipe line offers Peterson's largest designs in regards to chamber depth and in hand substance. The exaggerated size exemplifies the Irish marque's signature robust shaping style, taking that muscularity to the extreme. This bent Billiard is the perfect companion for long smoking sessions, dressed here in a craggy, chocolate-stained rustication and accented with the firm's esteemed silverwork for an aesthetic that's simultaneously rugged and regal. Not only does a silver band grace the shank end, but a sterling rim cap offers further flash as well as practical protection against charring. For those interested in similarly sized briars but on a slightly smaller scale, Peterson offers the Pub Pipe line which slightly reduces the House Pipe's proportions.-Truett Smith
