Peterson: Derry Rusticated (05) Fishtail Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-029-100101
Perhaps the most iconic of all Peterson shapes, the "05" Calabash features a bowl flaring trumpet-like at the rim, a high transition to the shank, and a shank that is wide, muscular, and substantial in hand. Its wide base and smooth curvature, along with its easy-to-grasp, cinched waistline, have been prominent features admired by generations of smokers. Among Peterson's oldest and most popular shapes, the "05" epitomizes the Peterson design aesthetic.
Similar to the Donegal Rocky series, Peterson's Derry line dresses pipes in a rugged rustication, but instead of a jet-black mouthpiece, the Derry features an acrylic stem of swirling chocolate and caramel tones. Named after the second largest city in Ireland, known for its distinctively hilly topography, this series appropriately dresses the stummel of each piece in a craggy, well-textured rustication with an earthy walnut stain over top. A bright nickel army mount completes the presentation, offering some aesthetic flash and allowing the pipe to be broken down easily for cleaning.- Chuck Stanion
