Brad Pohlmann: Sandblasted Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-381-0106
The Dublin is a shape that American master Brad Pohlmann is quite comfortable riffing on. From Japanese-influenced sitters, to his signature Horn-meets-Tulip variation, and everything in between, Brad simply knows how to make the humble Dublin his own (and how to charm his collectors). We have not seen this particular rendition, a squat and substantial bowl paired with an oval shank and saddle stem, since way back in 2009, but the revisions he has made to this shape since then are well worth the wait. The lines are soft, and the broad, undulating crown tugs at the old heartstrings. Add to that some very stout chamber walls and the man's legendary engineering, and you end up with a Dublin that will call to you time, and time again.
