Brad Pohlmann: Sandblasted Bent Billiard
Product Number: 002-381-0128
Within the context of modern pipemaking, this is what Eric would refer to (and has) as a "solidly American bent Billiard". Exuding a distinctly Danish-influenced sense of line, the posture is effortless and the gesture firm and controlled. It sports a muscular, yet gently-tucked transition, leading the eye to the upward-flicking shank and gently-downturned saddle-stem. And to many, it wouldn't be solidly American without a solid sandblast, the likes of which serve to coax a display of undulating cross-grain and blasted birdseye alike. Finished in warm stain, the aesthetic at play is bucolic and understated.
