Renditions of the Hawkbill range from extreme versions of the form, emphasizing the shape's uniquely curved stem, to more conservative ones, like this offering from Radice. The underside's recurve is still noticeable but decidedly less accentuated, lending more prominence to the plump, Apple-like bowl poised on the end. Wearing the Silk Cut sandblast for an intriguing texture in hand, the ruby-tinged stain is contrasted by an abbreviated stem of pale acrylic.
