Radice: Silk Cut Bent Pot (E) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-030-3395
The founder of the Radice family workshop, Luigi Radice, started his pipemaking career as an artisan for Castello. Therefore, it's no surprise that every once in a while a form reminiscent of a Castello shape comes out of the Radice workshop. Such is the case here with a very solid and lively take on the Castello "55." It's essentially a stout, extra-bold-heeled bent Pot that's remained one of the most iconic designs from the Italian school for decades. The Silk Cut sandblast has unveiled an impressive array of ring grain around the hearty bowl and is finished in the Radices unique sand-meets-Spanish-moss contrast stain that's then paired to a gently downturned cumberland stem.
