This Billiard from Radice is handsome example of the Italian workshop's shaping style, featuring a plump, Brandy-like bowl that's set to arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement. The shank here is carved to resemble a stretch of bamboo, its complexion and craggy texture adding an organic element to the composition. The dark Silk Cut sandblast dresses the stummel and unveils rippling waves of grain across the bowl's flanks, adding further visual and tactile detail to admire.
