Radice: Rind Pot Tobacco Pipe

In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This Pot by Radice is dressed in their Rind finish, a quintessentially craggy Italian rustication with a deep-red stain, which provides a textural contrast to the auburn smooth finish on the rim. Out back, a trim shank-and-stem arrangement gently tapers to the acrylic bit, further serving to emphasize the enormous bowl, a hallmark of the Italian neoclassic aesthetic.
