In keeping with Radice's bold, Italian neoclassic style, this Rhodesian boasts a wide, muscular bowl that garners most of the visual weight within the composition, overshadowing the comparatively slender shank-and-stem arrangement that brings up the rear. Like most renditions of the shape, the bowl here features a pair of wrapping beadlines that demarcate the tapered rim from the rest of the stummel. Smoothly polished, these beadlines, in addition to emphasizing the bowl's rounded waist, also provide a touch of textural contrast to the rest of the stummel's rusticated finish.
